What is about?

The Society of Gold Minds- SGM is a unique initiative aiming to bring together the best minds like links in a chain. We will carefully select the most inspiring applicants out there and help them deliver the best results they possibly can. To make sure everyone is taken care of and represented in the best possible light, we will limit our list to just 100 Gold Minds, so don’t wait too long to register: we have thousands of followers and selection will be tough.

Participants will each commit to helping at least one other member, whether by offering sound advice, through funding, introducing opportunities, or simply offering help in the form of a useful link here, a message of support or help with an event there. This mutual aid is what the Society is all about. We are determined to promote the talents of those in our list with links and by referring our Gold Minds to the entire world, so people will say: There is no better place to find the right people than here.

Our principle is simple: “One for all and all for one.” We are in this together!

We are here for each other and by combining our strengths and talents we can move mountains. We believe co-operation is the best way to achieve success. Nobody can succeed alone and being part of a community, surrounded by others of similar mind and interests, can take you as far as you want to go. There is no longer any need for anyone to feel left behind or isolated. Who knows what miracles can be achieved when you believe in the power of togetherness?

Vision and inspiration behind the Society of Gold Minds

The Society of Gold Minds is not just a meeting group and our events are not simply networking events. We are looking for the best people in their own field and ideally those who can open up opportunities to fellow members. This is a society whose members are of the highest calibre but also one in which everyone has the chance to be included. People from all backgrounds are welcome. We proudly celebrate genius in all parts of our society and culture!

The inspiration behind the Society is Laura Iosifescu, founder and owner of the award-winning Laura I. Gallery. Specifically, it comes from Laura’s recognition of the lack of support many businesses and talented individuals experience, especially in the fragile early stages of their journey. Laura tells her personal story:

“When I first arrived in the UK, I came alone, speaking no English at all, having no money, not knowing anyone and being pushed by circumstances into living on the streets and facing the darkest, most dangerous side of London. It was a long hard road from there to opening and making a success of my own award-winning art gallery but I managed it.

“As someone who started from zero and made it in spite of these hardships and challenges, I can relate to every single person who has a dream but lacks the foundation of support that would help them start to achieve it. I know only too well how tough it is to make it on your own. I don’t want anyone to feel as lonely as I felt or as sad as I did in those days when nobody valued me or even noticed I existed.

“My experiences made me want to create a platform for special people from all cultures and backgrounds who otherwise wouldn’t know where to look for support or confidence − a platform where these things are promised and delivered. We intend to work with local organizations and institutions to maximize our members’ opportunities, helping them towards achieving their potential.
