'The Sketchbook Today’ will provide an arena to debate and discuss the sketchbook; its use, role, purpose and how this has shifted and expanded historically.
Keynote speakers will include Allison Foster, Archivist at Tate Britain; Renato Alarcão, Artist; Meryl Ainslie, Director of the Rabley Drawing Centre; and Rod Bugg, Artist and Emeritus Professor at University of the Arts London.

A supporting exhibition featuring sketchbooks by artists from the Rabley Drawing Centre, alongside work by Simon Callery and Iwan Gwyn Parry, will take place in Avenue Gallery from 11 June-2 July; images from the exhibition will also feature on Tate Britain’s new on-line Albums feature from 8 June.
