the open west is an annual open submission exhibition for national and international artists practising contemporary and conceptual art, inclusive of painting, installation, film and sound, textile, photography, ceramics, print, drawing, performance, sculpture, glass, metal and plastics.
About
the open west 2015 panel selected 44 artists from an extensive international submission of entries; each will be showing recent or site specific work throughout the light filled, contemporary spaces of The Wilson.
Works are coming to Cheltenham from the USA, China, Canada and France - not forgetting Stroud, London, Kendal, Penzance and numerous locations in-between. This year's selection includes architectural intervention, animated film, experimental photography, intricate sculpture, crafted objects, immersive installation, vast canvases and intimate portraits… and much more.
