About
Through artist impressions and technical diagrams from her fieldwork, geologist and landscape artist Emma Theresa Jude reports on her recent ascent of the ‘Inaccessible Pinnacle’ at the peak of Sgùrr Dearg on the Scottish Isle of Skye. 2.8 billion years of Earth’s history lies just beneath the surface of Skye’s mountains and ridges; from rivers as old as life itself, to abyssal oceans, to the deep cores of ancient volcanoes.
