An immersive parable on Global Heating, created by InteractiveTechnologists Typeone.
About
Please? You must help me. Where is she?
I’ve got a description:
Graupel. Hail. Ice Pellets. Rime.
Butter wouldn’t melt. Wouldn’t melt.
Watch nature regenerate, old structures fall, ice melt and ancient creatures defrost. Typeone is using a mix of augmented and virtual reality to create an interactive portal to a bleak, unpopulated future where an ancient string of artificial intelligence does her best to convince an unpopulated landscape to rethink its energy consumption.
Audience members will use phone based Augmented Reality to interact with different layers of alternative realities. Totems, man-made and natural, punctuate the space, with 3D projection mapped content. Click on the portals and enter different browser experiences. Audience members can appear via avatar and can visit the space in person via desktop at home. Convergent Realities and technology layers come together to give audiences a personalised immersion.
The exhibition will open on Thursday 13th and will run Thursday to Sunday until the 29th of January from 4.30pm to 8pm in the evening. The online element of the show will be available to visit over the Christmas period.
