The Colour of Pomegranates, part 2—The Digital Space, is an exhibition on Digital Artist Residency by artists Genie Poretzky-Lee, Rosalind Wilson, and Anna Walker.
About
The Colour of Pomegranates, part 2—The Digital Space, is a collaboration between artists Genie Poretzky-Lee, Rosalind Wilson, and Anna Walker.
The Colour of Pomegranates, part 2 will develop over a period of four months with work which involves the layering of film, visual and sculptural work, text, and storytelling into a contemporary narrative.
The exhibition is a responses to Sergei Parajanov’s beautiful film, ‘The Colour of Pomegranates’ from 1969, a visual poem about the Armenian poet and troubadour Sayat-Nova (1712-1795), and work that was originally exhibited at the Blue Lotus Foundation in 2018
The exhibition runs on DAR from 1st Sept – 31st Dec 2020.
The Colour of Pomegranates, part 2—The Digital Space launches with a Livestream storytelling event, The Love of Three Pomegranates, on September 4th at 7 pm. Renowned storyteller, Sarah Deco, will be weaving together tales of pomegranates from across the world, accompanied by musician, Ilana Cravitz.
