To coincide with the end of Frieze Art Week, Contemporary Lynx Magazine are hosting a free panel discussion at The Fitzrovia Gallery on the 17th October 2015.

About

We have invited four speakers from the world of independent arts publishing, who will debate this recent return to print.

THE BOOM OF THE INDEPENDENT ART MAGAZINE – ONLINE CONTENT VERSUS PRINTED PAGES. A PANEL DISCUSSION.

SATURDAY 17th OCTOBER

4PM – 6PM

THE FITZROVIA GALLERY, 139 WHITFIELD STREET, LONDON, W1T 5EN

FREE

Over the last few years we have undeniably experienced a boom in independently printed magazines. Is the ease of browsing online articles beginning to lose its appeal or are we simply rediscovering our love for printed tangible objects we can call our own? Join us on the 17th October where editors and founders of arts and fashion publications will debate this recent (re)turn to print.

Panel:
Sylwia Krason, founder and director of Contemporary Lynx Magazine
William Esdale, editor of BKN Magazine
Ram Shergill, editor in chief of The Protagonist Magazine
Lulu Nunn, founder and director of HOAX

Chaired by Maggie Kuzan, editor of Contemporary Lynx Magazine. Q&A to follow. Refreshments provided.

This event is organised by Contemporary Lynx Magazine and CMitrentse Projects, patroned by the Polish Cultural Institute. The Boom of the Independent Art Magazine coincides with the international group exhibition Romancing Abstraction and Frieze Art Week.
