British Museum Late: Journey through the afterlife: ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead

home live art, in collaboration with the British Museum, presents a spectacular free event around the exhibition Journey through the afterlife: ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, which closes on Sunday 6 March. The Book of the Dead was a compilation of spells designed to guide the deceased through the dangers of the underworld, ultimately ensuring eternal life.
The evening includes a series of performances using spoken word, music, dance and film created by site-specific theatre company, Periplum. The evening also features a range of hands-on performances and workshops, focusing on the themes of the exhibition and contemporary thoughts and opinions on death and the afterlife.
