Our complete and whole selves punctured and sieve like, leaking signs and held by all that threatens to overtake us. We are observed, watched and processed, not only for what we do, but what we are, will be, may be. As Freud waves his powerful manhood at the medusa, we propose our own objects of power, shiny amulets, reflecting and revealing the art of coercion' Apotropaic: (a-po-tro-pa-ic) adj :intended to ward off evil, having a power to avert bad luck; commonly refers to a charm or amulet deflecting the evil eye.
