londonprintstudio’s annual Members Summer Show launches on 14th July with some fine contemporary prints.

About

Artists working with the studio produce some of the most interesting fine art prints and photography in the UK.  Members range from recent graduates to artists well established on the London and national scene. Work by artists in the show is featured in exhibitions nationally and internationally. The show is an opportunity to engage with work produced  in one of the best equipped studio spaces in London.  Our members Summer Show features work across a wide range of print techniques, reflecting the range of specialist equipment in the traditional print studio. As the studio is run by artists for artists, there is a small section featuring work by some of the studio staff.

Almost all the work in the show is on sale – an opportunity to buy original art while supporting the artists and the studio involved in producing the work. Studio membership is very varied, and with work by over 50 artists on display, there’s something for everyone, from highly experimental to reflective and decorative. The works reflect the sense of enquiry and exploration characteristic of the work of many of our members, an approach strongly supported and encouraged by the studio and its technicians.

Among the exceptional works on view are Guy Butter’s beautiful landscape ‘Copse West Highland Way’, Tammy Mackay’s ‘Night Night’, and Venetia Norris‘s ‘Beginnings’. Michelle Dow‘s ‘Movement II’ deals with physical change and transformation, while Margaret Ashman‘s ‘In the Beginning IV’ is a reflective figurative piece.
53 artists are showing work in the exhibition, which was selected by Andzrej Klimowski, Professor Emeritus in Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art.
