Subtext 3 presents dynamic artworks by London based artists Jenni Hodgson, Julia Noble and Lucie Feighan. This trio explore fresh connections in their practices.
About
SUBTEXT 3 creates conversations between the work and identifies commonalities.
Informed by her duality of place, South African born Hodgson creates abstract painterly spaces. She is currently undertaking an MA in Fine Art at City and Guilds Art School.
The inclusion of Noble’s paintings in this year’s RA Summer Exhibition, galvanised her to review past series and draw from aspects of that work she believes to be most successful. As always, colour and process are to the forefront.
Feighan’s embroidery and print collection is a devotional communication to her father. The compositions are touch memorials, to record, remember and embody the encounters that formed that relationship over time.
