Stuart Buchanan Landscape Paintings Around and About Catterline Scotland.
About
Stuart Buchanan paintings are inspired by the coastal location of the artist’s home and studio in the remote fishing village of Catterline on Scotland’s East Coast. The power of the landscape is irrevocable in his work and the depictions of his local coastline are among the most successful. It is no surprise to hear that Buchanan is not the only artist to be inspired by the views from his studio 'The Watchie' This small fisherman’s cottage was previously home to one of Scotland’s most important artist of the twentieth century, Joan Eardley 1921-1963 integral in Scotland’s artistic heritage. Stuart Buchanan is following in her footsteps.
