Stories of Women (part 3) with Hana

This is a feminist life modelling and drawing workshop for all women. Hana Schlesinger will be modelling and telling you some of her story and experience of modelling. There will be time for discussion, and you will have the chance to pose too if you feel drawn to (as part of a group of women modelling together). You are welcome to just come and draw if you prefer, or to listen, join in the conversation, or even write as a response to the occasion. No experience necessary.

Hana began life modelling in 1980, and worked as a model for over 30 years. At the age of 70 she decided to slow down and work less, and now in her mid 70s she only accepts her most favourite bookings. We are very excited and proud to host her at Stories of Women; she has regularly given talks to women's groups about being a life model over the years.

The events are open to All women. This is a body and sex positive environment, supportive of sensitive discussion that is wholly inclusive. While this is not a profit making venture, we are looking to cover costs for our main model, the venue etc. Guidance will be given for first time models during the second half. Bring a robe (anything from a long T-shirt to a sarong) if you think you might try it, though that of course isn't necessary. You are encouraged to find a comfortable way to pose, and there will be no photography in this part of the event. Hana will let you know how she feels about being photographed.
