A site-specific dance performance created in response to the existing public realm artworks around Battersea Power Station
About
As part of a summer programme of public art in the area, Lorraine Roberts is creating a new, site-specific dance performance piece.
Choreographer Lorraine Roberts has worked with older people and students at the Royal Academy of Dance to create a performance inspired by the sculpture present around Battersea Power Station.
The choreography takes its cues from the form, structure and the ideas that informed the creation of the original artworks. As a promenade piece, the dance will also create links between different artworks, as they are linked in space.
The meeting point for this performance will be on the Thames River Path at the base of the steps to the eastern side of Chelsea Bridge - look for the Meeting Point sign.
