Houston. TX. Laura Rathe Fine Art (LRFA) is proud to announce the fourth solo exhibition of renowned artist duo Stallman Studio. The opening reception will be held Thursday, September 22nd from 5-8pm at our River Oaks District gallery (4444 Westheimer Rd). Artists Stephen Stum and Jason Hallman will be in attendance.
In their fourth solo exhibition at LRFA Houston, artists Stephen Stum and Jason Hallman, working jointly as Stallman Studio, explore the energy and force of collaboration. Created in tandem, this latest series of dynamic compositions celebrate the duo’s harmonic practice, showing that two truly is more powerful than one.
When Hallman and Stum come together in the studio, there are two minds and two hearts behind the work. Like a dance of souls, when one artist presents a gesture, the other responds, taking the piece in a new direction entirely. The continuous ebb and flow of their practice is rooted in transformation, evolving the design to higher heights with each independent reaction. Allowing time and space for an idea to be born, the end result is a forceful composition that could have not otherwise been imagined without the unity of two.
The solo exhibition will be on display through October 20th, 2022.
