The Cristea Roberts Gallery will open our Private Viewing Room, for one evening, to share an intimate exhibition of recent prints, including a selection created over the past year, by Etel Adnan (b.1925).
About
Adnan, who in recent years has incorporated printmaking into her practice, was born in 1925 in French-speaking Beirut to a Syrian father and a Greek mother. Her international roots and her studies led her to the US and Paris, where she now lives. Her etchings depict landscapes of personal importance, such as mountains, skylines, sunsets, oceans, and vast stretches of land from memory.
