Old Chapel Gallery, Pembridge holds it’s annual garden sculpture exhibition highlighting the work of talented designer/makers with an ever-changing collection of unique works for your outdoor space in stone resin, glass, forged iron, wood, stoneware, and carved stone.

The work of several artist blacksmiths will also be on show. A collection of their latest work in forged steel some incorporating fused glass includes green men, poppies, fritillaries, ferns, sheep, butterflies, dragonflies, snails, geese….. as well as abstract pieces, practical garden furniture, planters and plant supports. Some pieces are galvanised to protect them from the weather.

Helen Sinclair, a long established sculptress with the gallery, produces limited edition and unique contemporary sculpture in stone resin and bronze.

Miranda Michels works in stainless and mild steel. Every piece is a one-off. Miranda produces anything from hares and birds through to full size horses. For this exhibition we will be showing a large hare, a small flock of flat sheep (as pictured) and a collection of birds on rods to include kingfishers, wrens and long tailed tits.
Regular exhibitor is ceramic sculptor Simon Griffith who creates one-off birds and animals in stoneware, all frost proof. The collection will include a snoozing fox and some birds of prey to include owls, kestrels, kites, rooks, some life size and displayed on wooden posts ready for easy positioning inside or out.

Stone carvers’ David England and Lottie O’Leary will show pieces in Portland and Forest Of Dean stone. Each one unique.

Lynette Forrester’s sculpture is inspired by nature and she creates pieces which will enhance the environment in which her art glass pieces are placed, catching the light and sparkling in the sun.

Each unique piece designed to give hours of pleasure to time spent in the garden.

We will also be showing a range of interior ceramic and cold cast bronze animal sculpture by several makers new to the gallery. Come along and enjoy this feast for the eyes!
