Following on from last year’s impressive Chicago Show, curator Madeleine Mermall is bringing her latest group exhibition to Brooklyn’s oldest brewery (located in the East Williamsburg / Bushwick area).

On view from June 15th through July 6th, SPF 32 features thirty two emerging and mid-career artists, on view at the William Ulmer Brewery, 81 Beaver Street, Brooklyn, New York. Featuring primarily female painters, the works presented explore themes of summer through imagery that evoke the season’s experiential lexicon.

The prohibition-era, 60,000 square feet building has three basements extending 50 feet below the street, with the cellars comprising another 18,000 square feet with vaulted masonry tunnels and chambers. The building itself is something to be seen!
