About

aspex are delighted to announce that the following artists have been selected by our panel (Joanne Bushnell, Director of aspex, Stephen Foster, Director, John Hansard Gallery, Judy Adam, Independent Curator & Jonathan Parsons, Artist) to take part in the group exhibition for SOUTH-CENTRAL, which opens on 21 November

SOUTH-CENTRAL is aspex’s new open submission group exhibition, which seeks to highlight the work of emerging visual artists working in any media in the South of England, within 90 minutes travel time of the gallery. A winner will be chosen from this shortlist, who will then go on to work with the team at aspex on a programme of professional development over the next 12 months.

Curator at aspex, Clive Caswell, said: “The panel spent many hours debating the who would make the final shortlist from over 100 applicants, and we hope the work selected shows the diversity of artistic practice from across the region”.

The exhibition preview will be held on 21 November from 6-8pm at the gallery – all are welcome to attend. The exhibition will then run until 21 January 2015.
