About
‘Somewhere in Between’ brings together international artists based in the UK to explore the practice of working across different mediums, including painting, sculpture, and installation. It will give the artists the opportunity to present a selection of their current works and is curated by Aileen McGee, an ArtCan artist.
ArtCan is a non-profit organisation supporting contemporary artists through a vibrant and exciting exhibition programme. Our aim at ArtCan is to promote fair payment of artists: when you purchase a piece at an ArtCan event, you deal directly with the artist and they receive 100% of the profit. The organisation’s ongoing objective is to create, promote, maintain and improve opportunities for contemporary artists without compromise to their artistic exploration and development.
ArtCan functions on a membership basis. It is open to all fine artists and creative practitioners. Members support and engage with one another and collaboration, communication and networking facilitate and enable exciting exhibiting and project opportunities. With 76 international members currently participating and no cap on capacity, the organisation actively welcomes applications.
The South Kensington Gallery is located within The Exhibitionist Hotel, a vibrant and funky art hotel working with a dynamic and eclectic mix of global artists curated by Vestalia Chilton, Attollo.
