About

‘Social Commentary: Infrastructure will collapse' Preview night 1st October (new time 6-9pm) Exhibition runs from 3rd October till the 28th October 2011 Curated by Lloyd Gill The curator has carefully selected artists who create work which reflects upon sociological concerns. These sociological concerns can be divided into the sub-context of gender, stratification, politics, demographics, race and social upheaval in the form of past wars or terrorist events. The artwork selected will feature paintings, printmaking, photography and sculpture. Throughout art history, artists have made social commentary within their work. To read more about this please go to http://www.thelloydgillgallery.com/pdf/Social%20Commentary.pdf and read the essay the curator has written to accompany this exhibition.
