'Snippets of New York' - an exhibition of painting by Emily Morey

Emily intuitively paints stories using vibrant colours with organic and geometric shapes. These paintings are part of a series made during a residency in New York. They are inspired by the shapes and objects around Manhattan and Brooklyn as well as her interactions with the people she met. Emily aims to capture her response to the busy-ness and fast-paced nature of the city as raw and immediate as possible in a painting.
