SITE Publication Launch

About

In collaboration with furniture designer Kusheda Mensah / Modular by Mensah on the spacial conception of the night, curator and SITE founder Cairo Clarke programmes an evening to further explore artists practice, and process in its expanded form with a screening afternoon continuing on Saturday 7th September (TBA).

SITE is an annual publication/curatorial experiment setting up alternative encounters with artists and examining the dissemination of printed research across socio-political practices. SITE is currently part of the Radical Reading Room exhibtion at The Studio Museum in Harlem and withh be at London Art Book Fair and Bound Art Book Fair.

Contributing artists: Chase Hall, Clayton Vomero, Dasha Selyanova, Dimakatso Mathopa, Erica Eyres, Gray Wielebinski, Hannah Perry, Harriet Middleton-Baker, Legacy Russell, Lotte Andersen, Malaxa, Nina Wakeford, Phoebe Collings-James, Sade Mica, SAGG NAPOLI, Suzannah Pettigrew, Tamar Clarke Brown, Wilson Oryema and Zenande Mketeni.

6:45 Introduction from Cairo Clarke

7:00 Cairo Clarke chats with Kusheda Mensah about her debut furniture collection Mutual and the deterioration of face-to-face interaction in the age of social media.

7:15 - 8:30pm (interspersed between this time) readings, audio works and performances from SITE contributing artists Suzannah Pettigrew, Harriet Middleton-Baker, Sadé Mica, Nina Wakeford, and Tamar Clarke-Brown

SITE is an edition of 100 and will be available to purchase for £20.00, cash preferred!
