About

Urban Art contains a variety of visual languages most of which are still unknown to the majority. 2B Art Gallery presents the first collective exhibition this summer which delves into two languages simultaneously, through the works of SheOne and The London Police. The first artist, James Choules, who formed part of the nucleus of the British graffiti scene back in the days. In the 90s he was a pioneer making the transition of the work created on the wall to the work on canvas. Abstract and flowing lines drawn with in a single gesture make a reference to the Orient that looks at the most recent contemporary art. The London Police belongs to the trend which roots in comics and illustration. Their freehand work, without the use of stencils, and simple, fresh, always positive characters called “Lads”, seen through all the unlikely adventures, have earned Chaz Barrisson and Bob Gibson a predominant place in the Street Art.
