A group show curated by Ardesia Projects for Brighton Photo Fringe 2016
About
Curated by Benedetta Casagrande for Brighton Photo Fringe 2016, Ardesia Projects presents SCREENED, a showcase of photographic works by three artists that explore the technical characteristics of the camera apparatus in order to question the politics of vision embeded in photography.
UK-based artists Seán Padraic Birnie (Magnum Photos/Photo London Graduate Photographers Award 2016 winner) and James William Murray will show new work alongside Italian photographer Alberto Sinigaglia’s critically acclaimed Big Sky Hunting.
Placing emphasis on the humans mind’s capacity to create and imagine what it wants to see, SCREENED explores the obscurities and revelations of a medium always caught between darkness and light.
