An opportunity to see the many and varied ways in which artists use oil paint today

About

The Royal Institute of Oil Painters presents this year’s annual exhibition exclusively online…

The shows goes on, online, making it easy to browse the exhibition from the comfort and safety of home and buy works at the click of a button. Even better is that sold works will be dispatched directly from the artists’ studios as soon as possible upon purchase, free of charge (within mainland UK).

This year’s Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition once again showcases the work of many of the UK’s most exciting young painters alongside the work of more established names. It is an opportunity to gauge the continued evolution of oil painting in this country and to see how it is a fundamental and vital part of the wider art world.

The show will once again include a mini exhibition, this year on the theme of ‘Reflections’. This theme will be interpreted in a variety of ways by both members of the Institute and artists selected from the open call.

Offering valuable prizes such as The Phyllis Roberts Award (worth £2,000) and The Winsor & Newton Young Artist Awards, the ROI continues to lay the foundations for future generations to enjoy and achieve artistic expression with this most adaptable and durable medium.
