Surface Gallery is excited to announce our annual volunteer exhibition, Re:Surface. Re:Surface is a two week exhibition featuring work from over thirteen artists, all of whom volunteer at Surface Gallery.
About
Re:Surface features work from over thirteen artists who utilise a variety of media: glasswork, coloured yarn, acrylic and oil paints, photography, paper and the written word. There will be a range of work on display, from Pete Abrahart’s doubly framed acrylic portraits to Phoebe Joy’s intricate glass works inspired by microscopic deep sea creatures. The raw, untouched portrait photography of Sam Lindley contrasts strikingly with a live body paint session by Caroline Barry. Sat beside a knitted totem will be a series of images exploring the darkness of 1961 to the lightness of 1989 in Berlin. The diversity of the work is itself the beauty that reflects the range of talents here at Surface Gallery.
