Be part of the movement and reduce your impact!
This a community project inviting everyone to come and join the discussion on climate action, generously supported by Together For Our Planet - The National Lottery Community Fund and Summerfield Charitable Trust.
Join willow weaver Sarah Edwards at Kingshill House on Friday 9th & Saturday 10th September and weave a beautiful Willow Home that will become part of the garden at Kingshill House for the community to enjoy! Learn traditional weaving techniques and be part of the discussion on climate change through action.
This will be followed by a celebration on Sunday 11th with lots of music, dancing and storytelling!
The first activity is creating a Willow Home with artist Sarah Edwards using traditional techniques. Come and be part of the creation, register to weave via admin@kingshillhouse.org.uk (our available time slots are: 10am-12pm, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm) .
Timed slots will be available over the two days.
To celebrate the creation of the Willow Home and a chance to view our current exhibition ‘Nature, Our Environment’ we will host an evening of storytelling, music, with food, bar and fun. Come along to launch the Response/Respond Willow Home, enjoy the artworks that respond to nature and find out what we have planned for the future.
