Beth Fletcher will showcase her dramatic sescapes and landscapes during this selling exhibition of her recent works. She uses a variety of mark making techniques to create images responding to her particular experience and memories of a scene.
By building up layers of paint with contrasting hues Beth creates a sense of light, wind and water. For Beth, painting landscapes truthfully is as much about touch, intuition and memory, conscious thought and decision. It requires gestural and organic mark making, reproducing the actions of nature and re-adjusting every previous mark.
Beth achieved a 1st class Honours in Fine Art from Aberystwyth University in 2002 and a distinction for her Masters in 2004, she exhibits widely across the UK with both solo and group shows.
