An exhibition of three sculptural installations by London-based artists Denise Bryan, Joanna Sands and Silvina Soria.
About
Spiegelsaal (Bryan), 19 Princelet (Sands)and Rooting (Soria) were shown recently in a series of three exhibitions at Central Space Gallery in London (summer 2015), but they were created originally for three very specific locations. Brought together for the first time in the Glass Tank by Denise Bryan (Oxford Brookes Associate Lecturer in Fine Art), these works share certain formal characteristics in terms of their size and how they are made of separate elements or units. The exhibition raises questions about how sculpture relates to the architecture in which it is positioned, and how site-specific installations can be transformed when they are recreated in an alternative space.
