About

A small thing edgily is the first exhibition in Germany of the late British painter Prunella Clough (1919-1999). Interested in “paintings that say a small thing rather edgily,” Clough abandoned figuration in the 1960s, developing a continuously evolving, shape-shifting abstraction, which is the focus of this exhibition. The show is punctuated by contributions from contemporary abstract painters Amy Sillman, Hayley Tompkins and Merlin James.
