#2 / Progression is a continuation to #1 presented at Studio One (Euroart Studios) in June. It is an intimate presentation of recent work by London-based multi-disciplinary artist Tyler Mallison during the biennial Westland Place Open Studios 2015
About
The #/Progression series places an emphasis on registering the moment, reflecting the ever-shifting context of artistic and cultural production marked by the physical movement of materials and the psychological impact of disruption and change in the pursuit of progress. On a personal level, #/Progression also reflects the contemporary reality of transience and associated dissonance for an artist practicing in London where studio space is increasingly scarce and ephemeral: #2 being staged in the artist's new studio in Old Street which was being transitioned into at the time of #1.
