Departure cordially invites you to ‘Progress', an exhibition of contemporary artworks by Karine Gullino & Sebastian May, two contemporary artists who live and work in East London. Private View: Thursday 3rd October 2013, 18.00-21.00 Exhibition: 4th October — 3rd November 2013 Venue: Departure, 649-651 Commercial Road, Limehouse, London - E14 7LW Opening: Tuesdays 11-5pm | Wed-Fri 11-9pm | Saturdays 10-5pm With very different approaches to creating art, the two artists decided to come together to showcase their latest collections, shaped by their international backgrounds and personal journeys over the last decade. ‘Progress', the title of the exhibition, is prominent in both artists' series of artworks as Karine Gullino discusses a historic social progress throughout the Viking Era, and Sebastian May reflects on recent social progress made in environmental and wildlife protection.
