Process of Change IV is a personal study of the process of change. Its necessity, comfort and unconcern. Our lives go through changes. Change may be inconspicuous or it can reorganize the whole life. At times taking us to our limits or offering a release. Common to all change is that it requires a process, after which something new remains to be changed. The review of the process of change has started in March from Rovaniemi, moving through Oulu and there to Helsinki and now to Berlin. Every exhibition has had something same as in the previous one and something changed. The review of change has started from wide form of transformation by crystallizing into every day small changes in life.

Tuuli Oikkonen (1989) is a self-taught visual artist from the northern Finland. She studies at the University of Lapland degree in Master of Arts, majoring in Art education.

‘I look at the world, our lives, through my art. I'm fascinated by how people act and why. How different situations affect us and how we react to them. How different feelings shows in us and how we deal with them. I get inspiration from nature and all the organic forms I see in there. In my art works I combine those to my reflections of life.’

The exhibition combines both paintings and sound art. The sound installation is composed by musician Lasse Tapio Junnila (1989). He composed the work on the basis of paintings, our discussions about the theme and personal review of the process of change. The work has been made especially for the exhibition. Sound installation combines together organic sound samples and deep soundscapes created with synthesizers. Paintings and sound together reflect the overall character of change.

Process of Change IV ist eine persönliche Studie des Prozesses der Veränderung; seiner Notwendigkeit, seiner Bequemlichkeit und Leichtigkeit. Unsere Leben durchlaufen Veränderungen. Diese können unscheinbar sein oder das Leben komplett umkrempeln; uns an unsere Grenzen bringen oder uns befreien. Für jede Veränderung gilt, dass sie einen Prozess benötigt, nach dem etwas Neues zu ändern bleibt. Die Review von Process of Change begann im März in Rovaniemi, zog weiter über Oulu nach Helsinki und nun nach Berlin. Jede Ausstellung war der vorherigen ähnlich und zugleich anders. Die Review von Change begann mit einer umfassenden Transformation, in dem kleine Veränderungen im Leben in den Alltag hinein kristallisiert wurden.

Tuuli Oikkonen (1989) ist eine autodidaktische bildende Künstlerin aus Nordfinnland. Sie studiert an der Universität Lappland auf den Master of Arts im Hauptfach Kunsterziehung.

„Ich betrachte die Welt, unsere Leben, durch meine Kunst. Mich faszinieren die Art und die Motive menschlichen Handelns. Wie verschiedene Situationen uns beeinflussen und wie wir darauf reagieren. Wie unterschiedlich sich unsere Gefühle ausdrücken und wie wir sie verarbeiten. Mich inspiriert die Natur und all die organischen Formen, die ich in ihr finde. In meinen Werken verbinde ich diese mit meinen Gedanken über das Leben.“

Die Ausstellung zeigt sowohl Gemälde als auch Klangkunst. Die Klanginstallation stammt vom Musiker Lasse Tapio Junnila (1989). Er komponierte das Werk auf Basis von Bildern, unserer Gespräche über das Motiv und persönlicher Gedanken zum Prozess der Veränderung. Das Stück entstand speziell für die Ausstellung. Die Klanginstallation vereint lebendige Klang-Samples und tiefe, durch Synthesizer erzeugte Klangbilder. Bilder und Klang gemeinsam erzeugen den Gesamtcharakter von Veränderung.
