Gasworks is pleased to host a presentation of Flu水o (Fluxo), a project centred around water as a contested geopolitical place but also as an element of life, death and disappearance.
About
Davide Quadrio, Curator and Director of MAO (Torino) will introduce and present video documentation of the project at Pirelli HangarBicocca, followed by a short Q&A.
Presented as an immersive installation, Flu水o (Fluxo) formed the context for a series of re-enactments and re-interpretations of 60’s performances by East Asian Fluxus artists, alongside Mare Nostrum, the historical chamber opera composition by Mauricio Kagel, centred around the tragedies of colonialism.
Flu水o (Fluxo) is a project by Alessandro Sciarroni in collaboration with Andrea Anastasio and with Chiara Bersani, Rossella Biscotti and Attila Faravelli, Silvia Calderoni and Ilenia Caleo, Anna Raimondo and Silvia Gribaudi, curated by Davide Quadrio and based on an idea by Luciana Galliano, produced by Arthub (Shanghai, Cina).
The project is supported by the Italian Council (9th edition 2020), program to promote Italian contemporary art in the world by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Cultural. With special support by Alcantara and Galleria d'Arte Aquilani & Sons with special thanks to Civita.
