About
Tuesday 12 February -13.00-13.30 - Social Media Live event
Future Proofing your business; guidance and advice responding to Brexit
Crafts Council and Briffa Legal have come together to offer a free Social Media Live event for makers and designers to ask their questions on what they should be considering when future proofing their businesses.
Crafts Council have been speaking to industry advisors and creative businesses about a ‘no deal scenario’ for Brexit and will be sharing their findings.
Briffa Legal are a law firm specialising in IP for creative businesses and will be sharing their advice on what they recommend you should be considering for your business when it comes to copyright, design right and trademarks when UK are no longer a part of the EU.
This talk is offering guidance only; the situation as regards to Brexit may change and we recommend you are kept informed through www.gov.uk
We do not have all of the answers; no one does, but we hopefully can share some useful information that will help you make calculated decisions on what procedures you could be putting in place.
Don’t have any questions? That is fine, tune in to hear some insights that will help you make informed decisions about your practice.
Who is speaking:
- Caroline Jackman, Talent Development Manager, Crafts Council
- Debra Goldwyn, Solicitor, Briffa Legal
- Barbara Gunter Jones, a textile artist and a creative industries consultant specialising in the applied arts and international practice
