Portrait Painting Course

About

This popular portrait painting course aims to encourage you to develop your painting skills with guidance about a more expressive approach to mark making and gestural brush marks. Not only is it a fantastic opportunity to work from a model at close range in a sustained pose – but you will be guided through the different stages of making a portrait in oil colours: from compositional studies through to the finished painting. Colour mixing, paint application, proportions and structure of the head will also be discussed and demonstrated. This course includes plenty of demonstrations and one-to- one tuition.

Suitable for all levels – beginners are welcome.
