Her New and Selected Poems (Seren, 2004) was shortlisted for the Roland Mathias Prize in 2005. Jan Fortune-Wood read theology at Cambridge and has a PhD in Feminist Theology and an MA in Creative Writing. Her books include novels, A Good Life, Dear Ceridwen and The Standing Ground and poetry, Particles of Life and Stale Bread and Miracles, a prose poetry collection. Her latest novel, Coming Home is published in January 2011. She is currently working on a poetry sequence exploring emotions through the landscape and architecture of an abandoned slate mining village, and a novel, I'm Still Here. Jan is the founder and editor of Cinnamon Press. Cinnamon Press was established five years ago and has become one of the fastest growing small presses publishing poetry and fiction. Many books have been short listed for major literary awards and in 2010 the poetry and photography collaboration I Spy Pinhole Eye, by Philip Gross and Simon Denison, won Wales Book of the Year. The press also publishes the UK's longest running poetry journal, Envoi.
