A new look and investigation into contemporary painting being made in the UK today

About

For this fresh and current exhibition, New art Projects and  Hedley Roberts propose a new look and investigation into contemporary painting being made in the UK today. This exhibition is made up by his choices of UK based artistic talent from a variety of national and independent art schools.

Since graduating from the Royal College of Arts, alongside his own practice Roberts has been a tutor of painting for many years and is currently Head of the School of Art & Design at the University of Bedfordshire. Primarily drawing on his experiences as a painter this show explores portraiture, identity politics, race, gender, the contemporary landscape, realism, abstraction and still life. Roberts brings together a spectacular range of new works by hotly tipped artists.
