„Pilote : limon“ presents seven of pilote’s artists: Betty Böhm, Selket Chlupka, Kathrin Ganser, Sarah Straßmann and Attilio Tono - they are belonging to the artistic tribe of pilote since pilote was founded two years ago. This exhibition also introduces pilote’s two new positions: Carla Mercedes Hihn and Katja Pudor. Since March 2018, they have been complementing the multidisciplinary spectrum of pilote around the artistic field of performance art and expanding it in various ways with drawings, paintings and printmaking.
Pilote presents a summery fresh and inspiring group show from temporally and socially relevant works of contemporary art by various media and content: video, sculpture, photography, new media, drawing. Thus, pilote temporarily places itself in this unique art meeting point of Kosmetiksalon Babette, an important art and cultural meeting space in Berlin. Hereby pilote is "settled" once more but for one night only. Traditionally pilote does search for new, interesting places for his exhibitions every time.
Inspired by the architecture of the Bar Babette building, with its characteristic yellow bricks, the title of this pop-up exhibition quickly became apparent. Some works do not accidentally refer to the title and to the color associated with it - yellow. The feeling of lightness of a summer in Berlin is being projected.
What could be more appropriate than to celebrate this evening with a signature pilote drink while enjoying a little summer party too!
All artists will be present and are looking forward to meeting the art audience of their city as well as stimulating discussions.
