About
Pennazzi's work becomes increasingly condensed towards the reunification of form and matter, which shows the symbol underlying physical reality where order and chaos come together until they touch and mingle towards the unity of opposites.
The exhibition acts as a mathematical concept in which the selection of subsets is called permutation when the selection order is a factor. Each of the different possible selections is called a permutation. What aesthetic selection will we have? How will the works articulate in the exhibition space?
The thread with which Pennazzi realizes the sculptures, but also the new wall works start from an incisive line, a composition poised between physical and psychological gravity, recalibrating perception and adapting to space. Recent wall objects have focused not only on the sculptural properties of the thread but on the ways in which it responds to environmental changes in brightness and color.
Raid is a research project, curated by AAC Platform and Camilla Boemio, whose development refers to a constellation capable of activating connotations on textile arts and participatory practices; but also to activate a series of parallel projects that will develop in contemporary art galleries and collaborations with visual art artists.
The show is supported by CENTRO ACCESSORI SPA (www.centroaccessori.eu/) as part of the Raid research project developed in Rome from January to April 2020.
