About

On November 11, the work of the last invited artists of the cycle Parallels will be opened at CAN. The public will discover the sculptures of the Hungarian artist Zsófia Keresztes, as well as a new installation by by Biel-based artist Gil Pellaton. During this event, Natalie Portman invites you to a panel discussion (in french) on the question of names. A group of experts gathered for the occasion will bring singular perspectives on the role and influence of a name on one' s life, and of one' s life on a name. Urban Zellweger’s paintings and Caroline Bourrit’s conceptual work will also be on display until November 20. This final part, which began in September and continues until mid-December, is entitled Part 3: Central Heating Visions. The subtitle is a nod to the heating factory that once occupied the space and also suggests the notion of perception, whether it is sensitive, cognitive or extra-sensory. The practices prioritised during this period of time develop around the idea of imaginary world and utopia. The exhibition Parallels has been on view since January and follows a particular pattern: the artists’ proposals, separated from one to another in different spaces, invite the public to navigate through different universes which are distributed  by a red glowing corridor looking like an artery or a vessel created by the duo Barbezat-Villetard. A series of openings inaugurate the new interventions and these fragments, taken in a continuous flow, evoke in their multiplicity, the very same collective exhibition.sensory.
