To celebrate the first comprehensive monograph on Peter Cain (1959–1997), a panel of distinguished artists and writers will discuss his paintings in the context of the 1980s–90s New York art world and beyond.
The book features essays by Rutland, Schorr, and Meyer, and is illustrated with more than eighty full-color plates of Cain’s work, as well as photographs of his studios and other archival materials, most of them published for the first time.
