Trailblazing new international arts platform KOVET.ART are delighted to invite you to their latest virtual talk Painting and The Transcultural. The talk will present the internationally recognised artist and the current head of undergraduate admissions at UCL Slade School of Fine Art Andrew Stahl in conversation with the Hong Kong born artist Kristy M Chan who is represented by KOVET.ART.

Focusing around the influence of travel and displacement in contemporary art practice, the discussion will address the ways cultural traditions and personal histories affect the symbolism and visual language in contemporary art. Stahl and Chan will discuss their own work in relation to memories, movement and change. From Japan to Thailand and Hong Kong, Stahl and Chan will look at the way memories of travel are intertwined with their personal visual language.
