About

'Origins'
Sweet escape into nature right in the heart of Chelsea

We agree with our mayor: 'London is the greatest city'. But don’t we all want to get away from the urban buzz from time to time?

The new anticipated exhibition 'Origins' curated by the 508 Kings Road Gallery, invites you for a sweet escape into nature right in the heart of Chelsea, 17 - 27th of October. Both artists, Alice Cescatti and Laura Fishman, share a belief in nature as a source of balance and transfer its ability to refill our energy.

‘Alice’s ability to capture the essence of a landscape is calming in its power and Laura’s intriguing technique provides a way to creatively look at physical materials. Together, they interpret nature in both vastness and detail, inviting the viewer to find harmony in our origins’.  (Luanna Flammia, manager of 508 Kings Road Gallery)

Laura Fishman – ‘one to watch out for’ (Londonist) – will present her signature pour paintings, which mimic natural materials such as marble and agate. She will also show previously undiscovered work in a new experimental technique. Laura started to experiment with art from a young age and she continues to produce mesmerising work.

Alice Cescatti specialises in the abstract silver-leaf landscapes, incorporating metal to create an incredible exposure of light on canvas. Growing up in New Zealand, Alice’s work is greatly influenced by the surrounding areas of untouched nature. She aims to transfer the transcendence of vast landscapes and her fascination with their harmony.
