The Winter Open Exhibition was opened on Saturday 14 November and will run until Saturday 19 December. Over 60 pieces are on display with prices ranging from £25 to £2000...Watercolours, oils, prints, embroidery, bronze sculptures, glass and ceramic works of art all of a very high standard are on display for your delight! Artist's from all over Wales and as far as Bath have contributed to this show and there is indeed something to suit everyone’s taste.
In Oriel Fach, the small gallery, is an installation of 100 beautifully made porcelain cups decorated with a fairy and lovely message and with a rechargeable tealight inside giving them a magic glow. These have been made by Ruth Sargeant as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Gallery and would make very special presents at only £10 each. There is also a selection of 6x4 postcards that are still available for £5 only. Once framed these are also lovely little presents and another fundraiser between the gallery and Sir Thomas Picton School. Free! All welcome...
