For the first time since taking over the space, Staffordshire St are delighted to open our doors for the opportunity to meet our studio holders, find out more about their practices and see their work in situ.
About
On Friday 25 and Saturday 26, coinciding with South Bermondsey Art Trail, our doors will be open to visitors, providing a unique opportunity to see our artists and makers in their studios. There’ll also be drinks and tunes at the bar downstairs.
From 23 - 27 August, studio holders will be hosting a series of events in the main project space, showcasing the diversity of practices working within the Staffordshire St studios. Studio holders are invited to use the space to experiment with new ideas or showcase their work outside of their studio spaces.

Maisie Maris & Chloë Louise Lawrence: Large, sculptural experiments
Wednesday 23 August 2-5pm
Gain an insight into artist's Maisie Maris and Chloë Louise Lawrence's process of making. The pair will be making use of the gallery space to experiment installing larger, sculptural works, which are being developed in their studio space upstairs.
Christian Cargill: Heart Valley Screening
Wednesday 23 August, time tbc
Director, producer and photographer Christian Cargill will be screening his documentary Heart Valley, winner of Tribeca Film Festival for Best Documentary Short. The film looks at the world through the eyes of Welsh shepherd Wilf Davies, asking questions about what it is we should truly value.
Ebb Collective: Safety Net
Saturday 26 August 2-5pm
Join Ebb collective for a free, participatory installation and workshop, exploring regenerative thinking, collective undoing and knotting new narratives. Visitors are invited to contribute to the evolving installation in the space, take part in threading together some uncreative writing and learn different knot tying techniques, as they collectively cast a large ‘safety net’ across the gallery space.
Keep up to date with the studio programme on Instagram and via our website.
