"julie orlick is an analogue/alternative photographer, avant-garde 16mm film maker, director & artist. her films reflect upon the absurdity and contingency of existence & maintain a timeless feel through adhering to analogue black and white techniques. the quirks and mishaps that happen while using film adds to the visual outcome of her craft that can truly be considered unique. all films are shot on a 16mm bolex, edited on a flatbed steenbeck and projected on 16mm. many of her films could not have been made possible without the facilities, equipment & support provided by mono no aware film"
