From 2000-2009 Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney, George Lund, Jo Derbyshire and LAS were some of the founding Artists that collaborated and presented their own distinct and diverse art and supported other Artists in various Arts and Cultural initiatives nationally and internationally: Liverpool (UK), London (UK), New York (US), Berlin (Germany), Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain), Copenhagen (Denmark) and further afield. A manifold of galleries, biennials, public arena and more encompassing large paintings, installations, digital media, alternative, performance art interventions, cross-disciplinary and a spectrum and hive of creativity.

The projects ran under the various cultural programmes promoted Contemporary Arts and Culture in the professional Arts Market. In addition, other initiatives were founded, such as Arts Education and to elevate and encourage creativity and make accessible for communities. In partnerships with other institutions and professionals on themes of Medicine, Science and Technology, particularly with a focus to researching new and alternative modes of expression.

Further programmes within the framework of cultural activities charitable initiatives to raise funds for medicine, education and communities and other concerns set with emphasis to the cause selected and non-profit making. The greater impetus was specifically to community programmes set in socially deprived areas to extend the opportunity for artistic development to various ages and needs.

As the principal Artists to the programmes from 2000-2009 they were anchors to enabling the large scale and intermediate events and exhibitions other Artists nationally and internationally participated. The number of Artists over the years consisting of more than 200 whom had engaged in various aspects of the projects, whether exhibitions, cultural exchange, performances, etc..

All the programmes came to a close when Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney moved to London in 2009 to focus on her independent practice and George Lund, Jo Derbyshire and LAS in the North West of England and as did for many of the Artists. Each continued in their own international travels and Art.

This Virtual Exhibition is a Retrospective of the Art by Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney, George Lund, Jo Derbyshire and LAS from past collaborative exhibitions and their independent creative practices.
