About
The cultural significance of Notting Hill Carnival is hugely appreciated across London, renowned for its vibrancy, unifying capabilities and representation of the resilience and cultural diversity of the city's communities. Notting Hill Carnival: A Multi-Sensory Digital Art Experience will honour the importance of Notting Hill Carnival and the sense of community that it creates.
The devastating impact of the Grenfell Tower disaster still shadows the community of West London. It is one example of the adversity and affliction that residents of the Borough have encountered. Notting Hill Carnival is recognised as the street party that revolutionised Britain, founded by human rights activists Claudia Jones and Rhaune Laslett to unify the community after a series of racially motivated attacks on the West Indian residents of Notting Hill in August 1958. In the spirit of Notting Hill Carnival, Notting Hill Carnival: A Multi-Sensory Digital Art Experience hopes to mirror this aspiration by bringing the community together and donating a portion of the proceeds to charities that support the victims of Grenfell Tower.
Notting Hill Carnival Digital Art Multi Sensory Experiences: 4pm-7pm

Guests will enjoy the projections of artwork of contributors such as Royce Williams, Josh Prince and Kirsty Latoya, a reggae mix courtesy of Jet Star, bespoke cocktails, patties, and diffused Jamaican Spice, Sweet Rum & Caribbean Berry & Mango fragrance oils immersing them in the ambience of Notting Hill Carnival.
"West London raised me so it's only right that I start this new and exciting multi-sensory immersive event curation project at Aures London with a Notting Hill Carnival multi-sensory digital art experience. Despite Carnival being cancelled this year, with our multi-sensory digital art experiences people will still be able to see, hear, taste, smell and feel what the streets of Notting Hill have been like every August bank holiday for the past 50 plus years." - Gaëtan Shamashang, co-founder of Benny Boy Events
